INCOME TAX CASE.
WRIT OF PROHIBITION. (Pes Usiisn Phess Association.) CHRLSTCHURCH, March 7. To-day 1 -Messrs Russell and Anthony, solicitors for Messrs Bowron Bros, and Smith, served a notice on Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., that an application would be made on March 18 to the Supreme Court for a writ of prohibition against further proceedings in the income tax case. The grounds stated in support of the application are that tho magistrate had no jurisdiction to adjudicate, in that proceedings had not been commenced within three years after the date of the alleged offence. Mr Bishop' 6 decision will not be delivered until the motion for prohibition is disposed of.
