HOSPITAL SATURDAY ASSOCIATION.

-o. A ineebing of tho Committee ot the Hospital Saturday Association was held in Mr B. S. Wilson's board room last night, when there were present—Mr J. Loudon (in tho chair), Mesdames Mooro and Loudon, Misses Burt and Hooper, Messrs W. L. Logic, a. Martin, D. H. Hastings. W. A. Moore, J. E. Bone, P. G. Gumming, and llev. V. B. King. Apologies were received from his Worship the Mayor, Messrs G. C. Israel «nd C. It. Smith. It was decided that collections from the factories and warehouses be left in the hands of tho ladies in charge of tho 6tand in which the particular warehouse or factory is situated, the secretary and Mr W. L. Logic to supply the ladies in chargo of euch eland with a liet of the factories in their district. Replies from Milton, Owaka, Middlemarch, Palmerston, ■ Berwick, Port Chalmers, Cavcrsham, Green Island, Outran), Balclutha, Brighton, Maori Hill, Mosgiel, Mornington, and Roslyn were received stating that tho matter of organising tho collection for this year was well in hand. TKe secretary was instructed to write to Mr Harlow at Woodside asking him if .'io would organise the collection in that district. Tho secretary was also instructed to write to Mesdomcs Pope, Hancock, and Houston asking if thoy could arrange for the collection at St. Clair. Tho stands for this year were allocated as follows:—Union Bank, Mrs Withers; Post Office, Mrs E. C. Reynolds and Miss Burt; Jacobs's corner, Meedamea W. A.. Moore and J. H. Hoskings (Karitane); Stock Exchange block, Mrs A. Fenwick; High street coiner and Arcade, Mre H. L. James; Grand Hotel corner, Mrs E. A. Tapper; Scoullar and Chishoim's corner, Salvation Army; Government Life Insurance Office, Mies Hooper; Bank of New Zealand and A.M.P. corner, Mrs S. B. Howlett; Moray place and Princes street corner, Mrs J. K Bone and Mrs Will (St. John's Ambulance) ; N.Z. Clothing Faotory corner, Matron Dunedin Hospital and nurses; Duncdin Railway Station, Mrs Capstick; Douglas Hotel, Mrs Wylie; St. Andrew street to Hanover street, Sister Evelyn ■ and church sisters; St. Andrew street to Moray place, Trinity Methodist Church; Elder's and Molliwn's comer, Hospital nurses; Knox Church, Salvation Army. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr Stock (Waipori Falls), Miss Hconan (Maungatua). and Mr J. Joseph (Taieri Beach), asking them to organise collections' in their respective districts.

Mir F. G. Cuminiiig reported that tho Mayor of Maori Hill had convened a meeting for Tuesday next at 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Messre dimming and Hastings were appointed to represent tho cxecutivo at this meeting. The Secretary also reported that tho Mayor of N.E. Valloy was arranging a meeting in the Young Men's Institute for next Tuesday at 8 p.m. The hour for closing tho collections in tho City was left to the discretion of the ladies in charge uf stands, but, weather Ijoninwing, collectors are not to be withdrawn before 3 p.m. Mr W. A Moore and the Chairman were appointed a subcommittee to ascertain if the use of tho Art Gallery could be obtained for providing refreshments for collectors.
