MR HOGG AND THE MINISTRY
OUTSPOKEN CRITICISM.

HASTINGS,- November 18. Air A. W. Hogg, in the course of a. political address last night, accused the Government of stealirg" the Opposition I'olicy. Hie referred to'them as dishonest trustees, who had abandoned their principles and made a miserable surrender. He said: "After such a betrayal of tins! is such a Government, likely to retain any endowment land whatever? How merciful the Prime .Minister is to the land monopolists, Has lie no mercy for the Workers?" lWerring to defence matters, tiie member for Masterton ridiculed the naval agreement, the Defence Council and the Permanent Force. The author of the defence, proposals was suffering from military fever contracted from "ecair.monjers. The proposed training grounds would resemble the concentrating eampe of South Africa, and the man who conjured such things must have escaped from somewhere. In conclusion, he urged till workers to unite, and they would become invincible.
