OTAGO A, AND P. SOCIETY, THE SUMMER SHOW. The annual summer show of the Ot-ago A. and P. Society will be hold at Tahuna Park on Wednesday and Thursday of next «eek, and present indications point to its being the mcst successful in the history of the society. The entries for the various sections closed yesterday, but as there are a number which it is known are to arrive by post from remoto districts, it is not possible as yet to arrive at the totals. This year a number of Canterbury stock-owners who have not previously exhibited here will be competitors in various classoe, while Southland will be more than usually well represented. It is gratifying to learn that the beat of the animais that took part in the hunting and jumping contests' at the Canterbury Society's show will bo competing at Dunodin, and'it Is safe to say-that their appearance here will make a very special feature of these sections on People's Day. Arrangements for the show-are all well forward, and the park is in excellent trim. The Garrison and Pipe Bands have been engaged for the eeoond day, and the catering has been placed in the hands of Mre Beatson. Side shows will form a prominent feature of the attractions for the popular day. Is is as well for exhibitors to know that special arrangements have been made by the Railway Department for the promptconveyance of stock from the country to the show grounds direct, and for their return, and ownere should consign direct to Tahuna Pari;. As has been the case in former tickets entitling the holder to conveyance to and from the grounds over the trams knd also to admission to the show will be available for purchase from boxes at the Post Office. In fact, everything is being attended to by Mr Fulton (secretary of the society) and the committee to onsurc the comfort ar.d convenience of exhibitors and visitors.
