(Pk3 Ukiif.d Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 5. A sale of city property tool; place today. The l)h;ck offered had 22ft frontage to Queen street and 19ft 6in frontage to High street, with a. depth of about 180 ft. and was owned by the late Mr M'Dermott, Oil the section is a two-storey brick building occupied by Mr Prince, jeweller, and •Mr Dent as dining rooms. Bidding commenced at £7000. and rose in £100 bids to £9000, after which the price advanced in bids of £500 to £12,000. The auctioneer then torrk hundreds, and at £12,200 the property was knocked down to Mr John Endean.
