.— o — A JUDGE'S REPROOF, . (From Our Own Correspondent.) . AUCKLAND, November 24. Mr Lundon, solicitor, again came into conflict with Mr Justice Edwards this morning. In the course of examinine « idm» named William Thomas Gibson, charged witli having had unlawful intercourse with his wife's cousin, a girl under lb years of age, Mr Lundon this morning asked him if, from his knowledge of the girts manner and demeanour, it was the same when she was giving evidence yesterday as it was usually. His Honor immediately interrupted! counsel with the opinion*that he knew no bounds at all. Continuing, the. Judge said: "Some means really ought to bo found whereby, the Government could pension you ffi, If, ought to pay the Government handsomely to pension you off at £500 a year for the' amount of time you waste in this court.": Mr Lundon remained silent until the Orown Prosecutor had cross-examined the witness,
