WORKERS DWELLINGS.
(From Our Ows Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, July 31. The number of tenants of workers'" dwellings in -the Dominion at the end of March last was 84, tho united holdings amounting lo 14 acres 17 perches, The assessed rental w-au £2550 a year, averaging about £27 ouch. Only one property (of 3J acres, in Canterbury) was purchased during the pastyear. There were at- present 756 acres of land acquired for die purpose, which were still available far tho erection of houses. Of this area, 532 acre-i were in Wellington, 213 acres in Anokls-jid, 3 acres in Canterbury, and 8 acro.i in Outgo.
