METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOLS.
«> The united quarterly gathering of teachers and officers of the Methodist Sunday schools of Duviedm and suburbs was bold on Wednesday evening in the Roslyn Methodist Sunday ; School, Tea was provided by the ltas;?u School, to which about 80 sat down. After the tea the combined teachers, numbering by this time about 150, with the ltev. T. J. Wa!li6 in tho chair, met together to listen to a specimen lesson taught to a primary, class by Mr Allnutt. Mr Allnutt handled his class in a masterly manner, illustrating his. lesson with blackboard and pictures. A*t the conclusion of the lesson a discussion ensued, when soveral Indies and gentlemen expressed their views in the manner in which the teaoiiei had dealt wrtfo his subject. Mr Alimitt afterwards explained the method he used, asd also gave several valuable hints to Sunday school teachers on how to prepare their lessons. During the evening musical items were rendered, and after the customary votes of thanks had been accorded the various ladies and gentlemen assisting, a very profitable evening was brought to a conclusion by the chairman pronouncing the benediction. •
