Maintenance.—Mary Agnes Gaston, who did not appear, was ordered to contribute 5s per week towards the support of her child at the Cavcrsham Industrial Scliool.— Sub-inspector Norwood stated tliat the child was an illegitimate one, and that after its birth the mother had married a man named Gaston, who Iliad now left her. Sins had loft, the child in the care of a widow in Duncdin, and tho latter bad been compelled to haw ft committed to the Cavcrsham Industrial School in its own interests. in disposing of the body should be decided by a jury.—Mr Irwin appeared for accused, who pleaded "Not guilty," and reserved her defence. Accused was committed to the Supremo Court for trial. Bail was fixed at self in. £50, and ono surety of £50. Prohibition Order.—A prohibition order was granted against a man on his own application.
