PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
<, i The regular monthly uicutmfe of the ] Peninsula Road Board was held on Saturday last, and attended by. Messrs IPCurdy ' (chairman), Brunton, Garr, Riddell, and ( Weir. ' s The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:-Chairman,' Mr s M'Cuxdy (re-clocted); treasurer, Mr Oarr. l McesTS Jury and Wesrtfold applied for an 1 increase of price for breaking metal.—The t board decided not to grant any increase. ] It was decided to procure 100 yd- of metal - to complete the formation on Main road at ) Duckworth's as soon, as possible. ' The motion to make a general rate ot ! 2d in the pound was confirmed. J. Bishop was appointed collector. The Clerk reported that a' tender for 40 yards of metal for Hall's road had been accepted from F. AVestfold at 3s 6d. Mr J. Westfold- wrote asking that 50 yards < of metal bo put oo his road at Sandy- i mount. Mt Wostfold- -agreeing to do the work at 4s 9d per yard.—The board granted 25 . | yards on the above terms. A circular from the Chn-rit-able Aid and ■ Hospital Boards ro increase of contribution j was received. The meeting adjourned till Saturday, Ist ', August. ; Accounts were passed for payment amount- • mg to £i<i 193 9d.
