THE ALL-RED ROUTE
STATEMENT BY LORD STRATHCONA. Press Association—Bv Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 5, (Received Sept. 5, at 9.45 p.m.) Lord Strathcona, on being interviewed on returning from Canada, stated that a steamship company had made a definite offer for a fast service on the Atlantic part of the proposed All-Red route for a subsidy of £500,000 per year. He also stated that Canada was prepared to pay half that sum.
_ About a month ago Lord Strathcona, who is High Commissioner for the Dominion of Canada, stated that he was willing to contribute £500,000 towards a company working tho all-red route.
