A letter was received from the Police Dopirtm'ent; m reply to tho socioty'a request that tho polios should pay moio attention to the .surveillaiioft' of ■ the reserves, stating that special inslm* timishad been issued to.the police toprotep? flio reserves. It vma decided to hold a-twee day spring show on October 9 «hd 10in th< new Art Gallery, and the offer ot the trusjw* to throw the Art Gallery proper open.in the 'evening for tho benefit of visitors -was accepted with 'thanks. A motion was passed making it necessary to have entries in tho cottigo garden competition in by October 7. ■ In. con-. , nection witli the spring show, outside judges are to bo asked to aot, and tho Stewards, Plant, Working, and Advertising Committaco wero appointed! at the meeting. A specist voto.of thanks was p&sEed to; the Ladies , Colnurittcc, Iho inembeis of which .addefi f,o '_ much to tlic pleasuro of las 6 year'e show in attending to , the .afternoon and evening refreshments, and itw/as decided to call an early meeting of the. same committee in ordor to secure the. ladies' 'cer-' vices for this season also. Votes of thanks wero also accorded the Board of Management! of, the Technical Classes , Association for the use of the class room for' tho lectures during -tlio winter months, ar.n to the gentlemen who -prepared the various papers for the lectures. The new schedule, vrtrioh was placed' on tho table, showed that'the society had now Gl6 niembera, 7 lifo membcis, '11 cash donors, and 15 value donors. '<.-....
