(Per United Press Association,) . AUCKLAND, September 2. On the arrival of tho Mokoia from (ho south. on Sunday, Captain Smith reported , that ilie lightkeeper at Cuvier Island' had signalled for the Hinemoa to be 6ent down at once. Tlie Hinemoa ran down to tho • island this morning, when the lightkeeper reported that a big. landslide took plpce on Saturday night, damaging; tho ohief keeper's house. Some 300 tons of wrth fell, and it is feared that .other landslides • will take place. Captain Bollons, of tho • Hinemoa. and Mr Stott,. of: the Marino Department, will proliably recommend! .that the houses bo shifted to a 6afer position. ' ' ' '
