WELLINGTON, September 2. . Tho City Licensing Committee mot to-day. The chairman said tho committee would insist on liot water being-laid on to bars for sanitary purposes. An application for a transfer .of the license in respect of the Empire Hotel was adjourned pending certain provisions for escape in case of fire.
