A week's canvass by a mombcr of tho Methodist Church amongst his fcllow-reli-gionisls culminated yfjsterday in a remarkable collection, the sum ofyflllOO being taken up at the two sorvices. The object of the movement is the wiping out of the church debt, renovating tha-chuvch building, and providing a new infant, Sunday school. Much qf the lfton'ey was given in iIIOU cheques.
