HARRIERS.

Somewhat diminished in numbers by reason of the energetic efforts of some of tlio members in the Y.M.C.A. campaign, the turn-out of members of the Congregational Harriers totalled 13 on Saturday, when they ran as the guests of Mr J. Harrison Jones, St. Clair. Hares were dispensed with, and the runners had a fine spin across open country towards Green Island and back. On their return the members were handsomely treated and royally entertained by the host and hostess and the ladies. The Dunedin Harriers held their run on Saturday from the rcsidcnce of ono of their elubmates, Mr James Holland, Glen road, Mornington. Messrs Holland and Haynes laid n first-rate trail up over Mornington, across the Kaikorai Valley, and up •the opposite slopes. Some fine busk and scrub country was here encountered, the smaller bushes giving grand opportunities for hurdle practice. Passing the reservoir a descent was made to the Cattle Yards, and thcnce up the hill above the tunnel, finishing up with a fine run home through the reserve. After a shower had been enjoyed by members, refreshments were handed round by the club' 6 host and hostess, and were much appreciated by all. A most enjoyable musical hour followed, at the end of which Captain Macc thanked Air and Mrs Holland for their kindness. The St. Andrew's Harrier Club will hold its usual weekly run on Wednesday afternoon at Keileknowefi, running from the residence of Mr Ferens. A large attendance is requested. Members meet at Scott's Corner at 2.30 p.m. sharp.
