CHUISTOHUROH, August 31. When the M'lntyro case was called at the l'olicc Courl this morning, before Mr 11. W. Bishop, S.M., Mr Stringer, K.C., who appeared for the Crown, slated that it would be necessary only to take formal evidence. One of the witnesses. had to ccmo from Jnvercargill, and it would not ho possible to proceed with tho case just yot. Ho thereupon applied for a further remand, and undertook that proceedings would bo short,' not lasting more than an hour.
The application ..was granted, and the accused, who was released on bail, was remanded until 10 a.m. on Friday next,
