There is increasing acrimony between Sir W, J. Lyne and Sir J. Forrest. The latter, while explaining his position in regard to the Braddon clause and old-age pensions, remarket! on the position of the Government in the matter.
Sir W. J. Lync, interjecting, said the ex-Treasurer must not presume to speak as a member of the Government.
Sir J. Forrest: "I want to repudiate the Prime Minister."
Sir W. J. Lync: "I want to repudiate you."
Sir J. Forrest: " Oil, you're a humbug."
It is rumoured that Mr Bruce Smith aspires to tho leadership of the Opposition.
