PROPOSED EXTENSION.
,(Pir United Press Association.) . AUCKLAND, August 30. Bishop Neligan last night placed before ft public meeting a scheme for adding io St. John s College a wing, to accommodate 30 men, to be known as "t ho Tnttcson wing," at a coet of £4000. His Lordship explained that it was part of tJio schome to prorido accommodation eventually for 100 moil, involving an expenditure of from £3C,000 to £50,000. In all probability in 50 or 80 years there would be a University of Auckland as woll as a University of Xew Zoaland. The meeting appointed a committee to consider steps to raise (he £4GOO to undertake the Pattcson wing.
