An additional act to the. sugar convention has been signed at Brussels. This prolongs tlin union for five years from September 1, 1908. It relieves Britain from that date from an obligation penalising bounty-fed sugar, but safeguards ijavc been taken to prevent the re-exportation of bounty-fed sugars,
