NELSON. August 29. A Chinaman named All Mov was yesterday fined £20, in default fix' months' imprisonment, for having in his possession, at Stoke, opinm fit for smoking, ami for keeping premises for that purpose. The police and. Mr Cullen (Collector of Customs) mado a raid and found the Chinaman •m _ bed, but there wan ${ixmg evidence of opium around, aud a quantity of opium and partly-smoked opium was found on the premises.
