A TROUBLESOME CHIEF.

CAPI-.TOWX, August 16. The Hereto chief Aiorenga, who after giving much trouble in German South-west Africa, was driven into Cape Colony, where lie was captured and interned for a period, has, with 400 followers, again crossed back into Gorman territory. The Cape police vainly tried to intercept him. Should ho return he will be arrested.
A serious rising of tho Hereros broke out in January, 1804, and gavo great, troublo during that year, and was not. completely suppressed even hi 1905. Tho German forces sent out to deal with iflie troublo numbered over 14.000. and by the end of 1905 about £10,000,000 had been expended in putting down the rebellion.
