P»m Awoeiation—By Telegraph—Copyright, MELBOURNE, August 17. ' A return showing the value of the Commonwealth trade with tho Pacific Islands last year was tabled in the House o. Representatives. Imports from New Guinea were valued at £66,687, and the exports at £65,267; New Hebrides—imports £18,355, exports £40,186; Fiji-imports £67,531, exports £310,696; New Caledonia — imports £19,342, exports £114,372; other islandsimports £167,000 (including £132,000 worth of immure from Ocean Island), exports £274,369.
The imports from New Caledonia have nearly doubled compared with the previous year, but there 'is a decrease from New Guinea and Fiji, while the other islands show a large increase.
