HARRIERS. On Saturday afternoon the Dunedin Harriers held their Fjve-mile Club Championship and Sealed Handicap at Forbury Park. Seventeen membors competed. In the last mile Mace and West, when Hearing home, left the others a little, and, after a good finish up the straight, Mace secured the honour of club championship by a fow inches in the time of 29mjn 2sec. Thomson was not far away, third, »d was quickly followed by RO3S, Hodgson, and Munn. West received first place in the Sealed Handicap, and Thomson second. Messrs Melville, Burk. Cameron and Murray acted as officiate for tho race.

The committee of the Civil Service Harrier and Amaiteur Athletic Club met lust evening, when final arrangements for the club's Ten-mile Cross-country Handicap, which is to bo run at Wingatui on Saturday, wero made. The lion, secretary reported having received 42 entries tcr tho race. Entries liave bewi received from Ashburtou, Wajroate, Balclutha, Gore, and. from all the leading, clubs of Duncdin. The race will start punctually at 3.!i0 p.m., and will be finished in time to enable competitors and spectators to leave for tc-w-n by the 5.15 p.m. train.
