CAOLLUMPERS STRIKE.
A CONFERENCE.

(Received July 19, a t 1.9 a.m.) Through the intervention of Mr lliHios secretary of tho Seamen's Union, a conference between representatives of the Collier-owners' Association and the Coal Lumpers' Union and Mr Hughes was held to day. The employers made certain proposals which will be submitted for the consideration of the men. The president of the Trades Hall Council to-night made a statement, to the effect that the whole trouble will be concluded in a day or two.
