(Received July 2, at 10.12 p.m.) ■The Governor opened the Parliament of New South Wales to-day with the usual ceremonies. The Governor's Speech foreshadowed a general election, in August. The only measures proposed to be .dealt with during the present (W&sion are bills validating certain municipal loars, removing doubts regarding the operation' of tho Gaming and Behiftg Act,' and authorising improvements to the pnrt of Newcastle. ' July 2. (Received July 3, at 1.13 a.m.) In the Assembly Sir Carrutheis is to make a statement dealing with the financial position of the State.
