INVERCARGILL POULTRY SHOW.

(Fioa On* Own Cobbespohdsxt.) INVERCARGILL, June 27. The annual show of the Southland Fanctcrs' Club was concluded to-day. The attendance was well maintained despite tho disagreeable weather, and tho committee is well satisfied with tho financial results. In tho opinion of the principal judge (Mr Maude) tile show was superior to those held recently at Palmerston North and Wellington, and was second only to tho show at Christchureh. He was favourably impressed with the standard of the exhibits nil round, and especially with the display of game fowls, which lie considers the best lie has seen for eight or ten years. With regard to the exhibition of dogs. Mr Maude stated that, the winning bitch in the fox terrier class ---owned by Mr Thomson, of Dunedin—was probably one of the host three in Australasia.
