ACCIDENT TO A PRIEST.
(Per United Piiess Association.) AUCKLAND, April 20. Tho Very Rev. Father Gillan, vicargeneral of fh'j Auckland Roman Catholic diocese, met with a trap accident today. Ho was driving round a eorncr in Upper Queen street,. when lie was thrown out, of his trap, and fell qn to his head. When picked up he was unconscious. He sustained a very severe wound on the forehead and scalp, with fracture of tho skull. His face and lips were also badly cut.
