THE MINISTER OF LANDS.
(Per United Pmss Association.) AUCKLAND, April 11. . The Hon. R. M'Nab, Minister of Lands, travelled from To Awarnutu to Kawhia to-day. He rcccived several deputations at tho latter place. Several persons who waited on him complained of tho large areas of Native land in the district which were unoccupied and untaxed. It was impossible, thev said, for European settlers to make any headway witli roads in these circumstances. tino of the settlors remarked that tho - Minister would hear a (Treat deal about Native lands during his tour. "I do not wonder at it, cither," replied Mr M'Nab.
