FATAL TRAMWAY ACCIDENT.
• (Pib United Pkkss Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 11. Mrs Tjislc, 65 years of age, attempted to get oft a, Linwcod tram before it stopped, hut she fell Itetween the first and second trailers, the wlioels passing over her. Thirty men lilted the trailer car off the body. She died in the hospital shortly after admission. At the inquest held this afternoon, evidence was (jiven to the effect that Mrs Lisle left the car Ijefore it, had stopped, and fell under the wheel of the following car. A verdict was returned that death was due lo injuries sustained through alighting from a tramear while it was in motion.
