WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE UNION.

The members of tho Women's Christian Temperance Union helda'social'-gn.thcrin|r on Tuesday in tho Y.W.C.A. Hall. Mrs W. R. Don (president) was in tho chair, and over 50 members of tho union were present. During; tho evening Mrs D. S. Pearson,'who was a : delegate at tho W.C.T'.U. Conferonco recently held in Christchuroh,. gave a short address embodying the work done by the members on that occasion. The Hoii. Mr Pojvlds and Bishop Julius had on different ercasioiw been present at'tho meetings of the conference, and 'both gcntlemon ;llall. Mrs Don also mado a few remarks about the work done at the conference and the Eonoral. work of the' union.
