HIGH SREET OLD BOYS' CLUB.
A.WN'UAL MEETING. The annual meeting ot the High Street Old Boys' Club was held last night, under tho presidency of Mr J. Waddcll Smith. There was a good attendance of members. The annual report opened somewhat lugubriously. "It seemed," it stated, "as ■Oldish tlio numbers wore losing all interest in the club, half-hearted maimer in which many of them attempted tho exercises. Tlio evident desire of some to avoid the opening and closing exercises was also a had feature. At the snnio tituo a few of the new members are to be congratulated upon the improvement shown during tho season, The number enrolled during the season was above that of previous years, but the attendance was not altogether satisfactory." A reference was theu made to tho aiuaial handicap competition and to successful functions. The finances of tho club, as shown by the balance sheet, were (considering the heavy expenses of last season) in a fairly satisfactory condition. i i'e report and balance sheet were ndoptwl. Tho following office-bearers were electcd for the ensuing yean-President, Mr J. Wadddl Simth; vice-presidents—Messrs A. Cross. A. J, .Shaw. V/. Mills, R. Stables. J. F. Woodhouse; secretary. Mr G. Jackson; treasurer, Mr h. Porriman; captain. Mr J. Fleming; deputy-captain, Mr 11. Foster; committee— Gollan, Pa-je, Creed, Holdemess, Dunue, Morrison. Jackson; auditors, P. lay!or and B. Steven; delegates Otago Gymnastic Association, Messrs J. Fleming and J. Page. 'Ilio meeting concluded with the usual complimentary resolutions.
