The competitions under the auspices of the New Zealand 1 Fire Brigades' Association were brought to a highly successful conclusion this evening. In tho ■ rescue event, decided yesterday, Stratford and Wailii tied at 2G 2-sseo for fourth place, and in the run-oil this morning Stratford won in 2G l-ssec, AVailii putting up 27see. Tho Dunedin City Brigade wins Hie shield awarded to brigade gaining the highest, aggregate points in the high-pressure events, and £65 in prize-money. Dunedin lost the champion shield (for tho highest- aggregate points during the competitions) by three points.
