FALSE PRETENCES.
(Per Unites Press Association.) FI'.ILDIXG, March 22. Ilenry llartwell. a stranger here, who obtained money for advertising local business folk on an hotel bill-of-fare without carrying out his contract, was sentenced to-day to 12 months' imprisonment on seven charges of false pretences. Accused was lately discharged from Ihe Auckland Gaol dfter having served six months for theft.
