WAIHOLA REGATTA.
The executive of the Otago Rowing Association met last night, and received reports from tho various sub-committees in connection with the 'annual regatta on Saturday afternoon at Waihola. Everything points to a, most -ucccssful function, and, given fine weather, a tip-top day's enjoyment is assured. The rowing this season is recognised to be of a particularly high standard, and as the entries are numerous for all the events—and quite a number of new rowers are taking part— ionie excellent racing is assured. For the convenience of picnic parties the association is supplying hot water free of jharge, and a more ideal spot to spend a holiday cannot he found than AVaihola. The water sports and motor boat race are sure to attract good entries, and will prove interesting items for the spectators. Tho train arrangements arc most convenient, special trains leaving Dunetlin at 8.55 a.m., 10.10 a.m., and 1.15 p.m.; returning from AVaihola at 4.50 p.m., 5.15 p.m., and G.JS p.m., thereby landing everyone back at an early hour.
