The attendanco was not so large as-on the first day, owing, probably, to tho threatening appearance of the weather in the forenoon. 'The racing, however, was of a higher Cirdc-r than that of the previous (lay, aiid snnio'good times were registered. A feature of the day's racing was tho success of Mr Thos. lu-tt, who scored a meritorious win with Stormont in the Myrcss Welter, mid also annexed- the New Jtiver Optional Trot with Esma, and tho Awarua Jiandieap with Sqmateria. Like tho similar event oit the previous (lay. the Steeplechase was a box-up, and created it good deal of amusement for tho spectators.
