OTAGO AMATEUR SWIMMING CLUB.
Ai. a meeting of tbeabove club last evening, it was decided that a smoko concort an<l presentation of prizes bo held, on Friday, April 19. Tho club captain (Mr G. J. C. Smart) will be entrusted with the musical portion of the programme for the ovening. The club is determined to give its utmost support- to the formation of the new swimming baths, and already classes aro boing formed, and Iccturos will be given, for tho tuition of ladies, men, and children in life-' saving and swimming. At the present time tho club has in its ranks t-lie champion swimmer of the colony, Mr A. M'Millan, who is anxious to get a suitable bat.li for tho purpose of instructing schoolboys and girls. Tiie season has been a very prosperous one.
