During the afternoon tho Cndet matchcs were commenced, the Defcncc Cadet teams trying conclusions. The Wanganui Cadets' No. 1 team won with 244 points, Christ Collogo being second with 243. Fourteen teams competed.

The Public Schools Cadets Match, 100 yards, was won by Cadet Barclay (Waimate) with 32 points, and ho takes £4 4s. Nicholas (Waimato) was second with 32, and he wins £2 2s. Forty-eight other prizes were awarded.
