A meeting of delegates of the different centres of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held to-night. It was resolved to recommend the council to hold tho next championship meeting at Wellington. It was also Tosolved that tho council should devote attention to the appointment of walking judges, and tho council was recommended'to reinstate the annual crosscountry, championships.

It was also resolved that the proposal haying for its object the secession of tho New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association from tho Australasian Union was not ono which met with tho approval of tho conference.

A motion was adopted favouring entering into a reciprocity agreement with the Now Zealand Athlctio Union on the lines pro|>oscd.

A long discussion took place on the proposal to reconstitute tho council, but tlio matter was postponed till next conference.

The members of tho council were present at tho opening of the conference, and after a. very heated discussion it was resolved that the coMcrcnce should be between tho representatives of the centres only, arid not a conference between tho centres and tho council. The members of tho council then withdrew, and Messrs Cooper and Hurley (representing Wellington) and Grierson (the Auckland representative on the council) announced their intention to resipi their teats.
