ELECTRIC LIGHTING FOR AUCKLAND.
'(Pi* United Puns Association.) AUCKLAND, February 18. The City Council received tho following* tenders for tho electric lighting plant:— Siemens Bros. (Sydney), £14,739; Dick, Kerr, and Co., £15.040; Turnbull, Jones (Ltd.), £14,469;-J. J. Craig, £16,810 16s; A. and T. Burt, £14,066 15s; Steuart and Fenn, £14,882. The Australian General Electrio Company submitted alternative tenders from the Sydney branch ranging from £12,278 to £13,220. and from tha Wellington branch from £13,349 to £14,436. The matter was deferred for a report by Messrs Bush and Goodman, engineers.
