EXHIBITION RIFLE MEETING

CHRISTCHURGH, February 19. The Exhibition rifle meeting was continued to-day in fine but dull weather. A strong breeze, which was rather tricky, lirevailed.

The Otago Match'was concluded. Sonntasj (Dunedin), with 31 at 600 yards, scoured first placo with a total of 98. Monroe (Murihiku) scowl 33 at 600 yards.' .luild (Karori), who was looked upon as a likely •vinner, got 32, and with Collclt (AA'aipawa) Jiiado up a quavtch wlio scorcd 98. Ilirains (Timaru) was the first, to register a. possiblo here, which gave him a. total ot 95. Burford (Timaru) got oft' the bull's-eye with liis fifth and lust shots, and put up 97. The West-land Match, at 200 yards and 600 yards, was started, but as there woro only four available for the 200 yards range the shooting was slow, only a few men finishing the range. Of these Lyall (Oreti) was the only one to put up the possible.
