FLAX INDUSTRY.
(Per Usitkd Press Association.) WELLINGTON, February 19. The British Government recently asked that an expert should be sent from this colony to St. Helena to give instructions in the preparation of flux fibre for export. The Cabinet lias agreed to allow the chief flax expert (Mr C. J. Fulton) to take up the work for twelve months, and he leaves shortly for the island.
