The weok closcd well 011 the Dunedin Slock Exchange, for three sales were effected as the result of Saturday's sitting mid these sales, together with the business effected on Friday, somewhat relieved .the market from the monotony which characterised the sittings earlier in tho weok. The stock favoured on Saturday was National Insmance, and all three sales were medo in it,.and at the uniform prico of '21s—a figiiro a-t, which business could have been done tho previous'day. After the transactions had tr.ken place sellers hardened to the extent of 3d, and tho quotes finallly established were—buyers 21s, sellers 24s 3d. Tho new issue of Kationa! Bank stock was still on otter. Westport Coal scrip was in demand. Quotations foT New Zealand Coal and Oil were wide. Shares in llosgiel Woollen and big shares in New Zealand Drug were on off(>r, but. no buyers responded. For New Zealand Portland Cement buyers improved to the extent of 3d as compared with tho previous day, but still tho offer was not tempting enough. As a matter, of common interest, it is worth mentioning that, judging from inquiries on and oil 'Change, Tiranaki Oil stock is in demand. In dredging slocks Ettriclis were quoted by buyers at the previous day's figure, and a seller responded at ss. Golden Beds started wide, but eventually closer figures were arrived at. Golden Treasures were on sale at ! Mastertons bad attention, and Mn..u'-erikif.s were * quoted ridiculously wide. No Town Creeks and Otagos were on sale. Riley's Beaches were quoted. Sandy Points wore again sought after at 21s Cd, and a seller disclosed himself at 235, Iu mining siock Big.Hirers were unaltered, and the buying quote for Barewoods was unchanged. Talismans were firmer.' In Roxburgh Amalganiatcds paid-up and contributing shares were touched on, the one by sellers and tho other by buyers. Three sales were made in National Insurance shares at £1 4s.

Slio should, however, very shortly again appear amongst, the list of returns. Callaghsm's Creek dredg* will again be re. cording rslurns ima short time. The Town Creek dredge obtained Gloz. An exceHont face has now been opened while tiie ivash near the bottom is not so as formerly, so that the dredge is enabled to clf'jn up the reef. The Blaekwater River dvedge sot 17oz 12dwt. An improvement is now gradually taking place. _'fho Sh'ib Hut Creek dredge obtained 17oz ladwt. The dredge is still iu worked ground, but once out of this a good, improvement in yi? cU shoviUl take place.
