CENSURE ON A JUDGE.
Press Association—By Toleeraph-Copyri'M. LONDON, July 7. (Received July 8, at 4.43 p.m.') The Government, in consequence of a. memorial signed by 347 members of the House of Commons, granted a day for the discussion of Mr J. 0. MacNeiH's motion censuring Mr Justice flrantham's conduct in connection with the Great Yarmouth election petition. Mr Hiilfour deprecated the House of Commons becoming a court of appeal for election petitions. Mf Lawson (Attorney-general) ami .Sir H. Camphell-Bannerman' deplored Mr Justice Orantham's demeanour and judicial indiscretions, hut argued that be was honest and straightforward though nn intemperate partisan. Mr MacXcill eventually withdrew bis motion.'
