PROTECTION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
'Tlu usual monthly meeting of the Society for Protection of Women and Children was held ill'the Town Hall on Thursday, there being present the Rev. \V. Curzoii-Siggcrs lin the chair}, Iho Rev. W..A. Sinclair, Mosdamcs Denniston, Fry, Withers, Staffcaptain Blincoe, Miss L. Cohen, Dr E. Sicdobflrg. and Miss A. Ansell. Apologies vero received: from Mr R. The "usiiiil routine business was attended to, and all accounts passed for payment. A hearty vote of thanks was tendered 16 Mr and Mrs Dennisloii for material help placed .in their power hy tlie Woslport Coal Company. It was moved and seconded that Dr K. Sicdcbcrg be elected treasurer for the ensuing year, with Miss L. Coiien at collector. IV; secretary was authorised to write to Mr A, .1. C. Brown and request him to net as auditor.
