THE APPOINTMENT OF TEACHER AT CAVERSHAM.
• 10 THE EDITOB. Sin, —A number of letters ha.ro ipnearwl in your paper lately on the above subject. To. cup this morningr, signed "Disappointed," I would liko to reply. Your correspoudent says it would bo interesting to know if the majority of the Cavorsham School Committee had made up its mind before the position was advertised. I can assure "Disappointed" that tho majority had not, and did not, make up its mind until the list of six names came from tho Education Board; in fact, two or three were mentioned as the probable choice. I can' also honestly state that in all my knowledge and experience of tlie Cavor>ham Scliflal ■ CoDuuitifis, iti eyse? csie wbiic.
applications liave been received every applicant has been fairly considered; never in one case has the appointment keen cut and dried beforehand. Trusting ''Disappointed" will bo satisfied with this reply.-* *■ anl > e '«'. SntPATBIBKK.
