The weather conditions were not so good as yesterday, rain falling at intervals, but fitill the show was visited by large numbers of people. The pigeons and pets were judged to-day, Mr James Maude (Sydney) being the judge. Pigeons show a great improvement on last year's. There is a remarkably good show of* working homers, and the winners are of a really good typo right through the section. lii sho,w homers, Mr J, YV. Green (Christchurch) exhibits very good checkered birds. The shows of magpies arc good, especially a smart dim shown by P. and S. Lindsay Nuns and Jacobins arb fair, and white fantails aro very good, but other classes only medium. Mr Jns. Hay shows some nice short-faced tumblers, and Mr Mehaft'cv some specially goad Self.,. Tho result of the show is highly satisfactory. At the smoke concert last, night a pleasant lime was passed, and Mr Maude gave an interi esting talk on breeds and how to breed generally.
