CHRISTCHURCH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.

(Per United Peess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 16. The weekly report in connection with tha Exhibition refers to tho energetic steps being taken for Vfetland exhibits. Tho Scenic Committee proposes to havo a full panoramic view taken of tho Buller River from its source lo its mouth, including some of the most beautiful spots on tho coast. Tho tender of Messrs Stokes and Sons (Melbourne) has been accepted for the sole right to strike and sell commemorative medals in the buildings of tho Exhibition. All bona fido exhibits will be carried free on tho Government railways to tho Exhibition, and on production of a certificate from the executive of tho Exhibition, stating that exhibits havo not been transferred, exchanged, or sold, and are still tho property of the original consignor, freo carriago will also be granted for the return journey.

The Agricultural Department has had allotted to it 12,000 ft of floor space at the Exhibition and a special court will be- pui in hand by tho commissioners as speedily as possible. Attached to this will bo a half-acre plot, which will bo at once prepared to accommodate a working apiary, with honey house, etc., complete, presided over by Mr Hopkins, the Government ben expert, who will give demonstrations of bee management. This honey houso will he bolted together in sections, and will bo afterwards installed at tho Government station at Weraroa. Thero will also bo a "grass garden," similar to those at Momohaki and Weraroa experimental stations. Each kind of grass and forage plant will have a small plot given over to it, with a board attached giving common and scientific names and the principal uses of theplant. About March or April it is intended to call & conference of colonial fruitgrowers, and in tin's connection a colon'*' fruit show will bo held.
