The first meeting of the newly-elected committee for this year was held at tho Bible Depot on Wednesday afternoon, when (here v.ero present Messrs' G. M. Thomson (in the chair), E. T.he -usual visits m and around Dunedin have been paid tc the aged and the sick. etc. Tho Sunday evening sen-ices at the Emsell Street Hall is as well attended and as much appreciated as it was when started 10 years ago. Hut in largo measure this is duo to the fact that many willing workers, men and v.-omen, co-operate cheerfully. A happy and hopeful start has been roads with Bible-roading classes at Union Street, High Street, Albany Street. George Street, end Arthur Street Schools, and never since this work began were there so many monitors and helpers. The first week {hero were present 525 noyn and girls; tho second week, o'S3; the third. 877. The boys are well to the front and are also most helpful. About 1000 have been already enrolled. Tho highest numbers reached on one day was 230; three schools had IHI. lf>\ ISO; the lowest number was 120.

All tho pari? of tho City Mission are in full operation, and the committee reasonably bono for a prosperous-year.
