APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS.
(Pep. United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. March 15. Mr Field, M.H.R.. speaking at Levin last night, suggested that there war, a flaw in the Education Act of last, session. Bv it Education Boards were justified in their action with regard to the appointment of teachers. Ho said it was net elfar that itwas obligatory on the part of tho boards that they should submit six names to committees, and that both the Wellington and WangatHii Boards wor? making appointments under the old system. The Premier interjected: "As Minister of Education I shall refrain from allowing salaries to ho paid in tho ease of any appointments so made."
